What's New?

April 17, 2000: After giving to Caesar what is Caesar's, maybe you don't have the cash to lay out for Windows 2000 or Microsoft Office 2000. You can still afford Linux, because it's free! Or only costs a few bucks, anyway. I updated the What can I do with Unix page to reflect Corel's release of WordPerfect Office 2000 for Linux.

February 8, 2000: While glancing through the site stats, I noticed that this site had a visitor from .cz around 2:45 am. The visitor was from the Institute of Computer Sciences in Brno, Czech Republic. The strange coincidence is that my great-grandparents came from Brno (or from its area) and I reportedly still have relatives there. It can be a small world.

February 1, 2000: Happy New Year! Glad to see that you survived the Y2K global meltdown. In celebration, I've updated a few of the pages. You probably won't notice any differences, especially since you haven't read this site before! (Except for you, Rogelero) Now that the new year is here and I've settled into a new job, it's time to think about promoting this site. . .

September 21, 1999: Updated the Links to Unix page with info about FreeBSD, the BibleWorks 4 page with information about TrueType font server setup, and did some minor revision on the Unix as Gospel essay. Added some information to the whois page.

September 16, 1999: Added section titled "Security" to the Reasons to use Unix page.

August 31, 1999: Updated the Theological Applications page with information about BibleWorks 4, and added a new page with information about my attempts to run BibleWorks 4 under Linux.

August 17, 1999: Changed the color scheme back to a lighter blue background. The darker blue looked great at work. When I tried to read it on my home PC, the text was almost unreadable!

August 3, 1999: Updated the Applications Page with information about the OpenBible Project, Christian Classics Ethereal Library and SAGE Digital Library. Also did some minor touchup work.

July 29, 1999: Added content to What do you mean, "Unix"?. Added What's so great about Unix? and updated the main page to include it.

July 28, 1999: Did some reworking of Unix as Gospel, What can I do with Unix, Reasons to use Unix, and Links to Unix. Lots of new content!

July 27, 1999: Numerous updates to the Applications Page. It actually has some content now.

July 8, 1999: All of this is new!
